Led by knowledgeable university researchers, the Uncomfortable Cambridge tour brings to light the hidden histories and untold stories of Cambridge. Please note that this walking tour does not include entry into any colleges.

Accessibility: 

  • Wheelchair accessible, but please note some mildly uneven pavement and crowding in the city centre.

  • Distance walked is less than one mile.

  • There are moments for sitting/leaning against walls throughout this tour.

  • Toilets are available at local pubs if required, but we recommend attending to bio needs before the tour.

  • We do not have microphones or other amplifying audio equipment but strive to accommodate diverse needs to the best of our ability. Please let us know of any accommodations required when you register.

All our tours are led by University researchers who have completed our official Uncomfortable Cambridge training programme. Our guides combine expert knowledge and performance, ensuring each tour is a fun and educational experience.

All of our tours can be booked privately for small groups (up to 8 participants) and large groups (up to 20 participants).

  • We provide a 10% discount on large bookings of 5 or more tours. 

  • Contact us directly to arrange large bookings of more than 100 people.

  • We offer a discounted rate for charities and non-profits.
